For every litre of fuel ordered by a CLA member from TOTAL BUTLER, a donation is made by the Company to the CLA Charitable Trust. A different cause is selected each year and benefits directly from the donations.

Previous beneficiaries include the Suffolk Wildlife Trust and the Holton Lee project near Poole, a short stay residential centre for the disabled where money raised in 1998 was used to build a sensory garden for visitors. In 2000 the chosen beneficiary was Event Mobility - a wheelchair and scooter loan scheme to enable disabled people to move more freely around shows and exhibitions.

In 2001 and 2002 the recipient will be Caring for Life (info@caringforlife.karoo.co.uk) - a charity based at Crag House Farm, near Leeds, which provides housing, support and work experience for particularly damaged homeless and vulnerable young people. Day care and work experience are provided on the farm with projects in horticulture, agriculture, workshop, car mechanics and IT skills. The donation via Total Butler in 2001 bought much needed equipment to help the young people to look after their herd of Longhorn cattle.
