In 2002, the Country Trust received £5,200 from the collection at Broadlands and Hampshire Young Farmers received £1,500 for their part in helping with the collection. This year, the recipient of the collection will be Open Country of Harrogate. Open Country is a project which works to ensure that all rights of way and countryside attractions in North Yorkshire are accessible to the disabled. Through its publication, Breakfree, Open Country gives a comprehensive guide to these facilities and their suitability to be visited by those with differing forms of disability.
